While being a kid in the early 70’s I loved the FLINTSTONES.  I would hurry home from school every day just to watch the FLINTSTONES.   Even through the many years it has remained my favorite cartoon.  Most people today, young or old, know who the FLINTSTONES are.  Before going to Arizona I found out that just south of the GRAND CANYON was a small place called BEDROCK CITY.  BEDROCK CITY is a FLINTSTONES themed amusement park and RV park.  I was very excited to visit this place.  A camera is a must have; you won’t see this again.  If you are looking for a camera take a look at these.

Well….upon arriving at BEDROCK CITY I was a little disappointed.  It is very ran down.  This place could be really cute and in 1972 when it opened it probably was awesome.  You talk about location……This seems to be the only way to the GRAND CANYON and millions of people drive pass it.  Rumor has it that is owner is trying to sell it for $2 million.  They need someone with a little money to buy it make it bigger and better.  I could imagine lots of rides and roller coasters with all of the FLINTSTONE characters walking around the park throughout the day.  Admission is ONLY $5.00.  The park has statues of the FLINTSTONE characters, a FLINTSTONE film playing all the time, rides (train and slide), a diner based on the theme, gift shop, and a campground.  We spent about an hour or so there and moved on.
