On our last day in ARIZONA we decided to rent a boat and explore LAKE PLEASANT.  It’s located about 30 miles from Phoenix and is the largest lake in the Phoenix area at over 10,000 acres of water.  The average depth is 70 feet and the deepest point is 260 feet at the dam.  This lake has a lot to offer with boating, skiing, jet skiing, picnic area, camping, and restaurant of the water.  Oh and the lake even has floating restrooms.  I’ve never seen this before.  A swimsuit is a must when you are on the lake. If you are looking for a new swimsuit look at these.

We entered LAKE PLEASANT at SCORPION BAY where we had lunch at SCORPION BAY GRILL and rented a boat for half the day.  Also we rented water skis.  After riding around the lake for awhile I got up the nerve to try skiing for the 1st time in 20 years.  Let me say, it’s not like riding a bike.  I tried 5 times to get up on 1 ski and couldn’t so I moved on to 2 skis and that worked.  I need more practice.  I soon wore myself out and went back to exploring the lake.  On little islands and along the edges we watches eagles, birds, cows, and wild donkey. The views were beautiful.  It was awesome not having to worry about gators.  Here in Florida, I won’t get in a lake because gators are every where.  What a great day……..
