BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL

Many different cities have BLUEBERRY FESTIVALS. This year I went to the BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL in BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA. Brooksville is about 1 1/2 hours northwest of Orlando and 1 hour northeast of Tampa. Some parking was FREE and some was $5.00. Festival admission was $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children, under 12 was FREE. This has been my favorite BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL yet. I think this was the Sixth Annual. They did a great job. The festival was 2 days, a Saturday and Sunday. They have it in their downtown area, up and down the streets. The festival offered lots of entertainment, live music and dancing, magic shows, dog shows, stilt walkers, a kids zone, a huge water slide that seemed to go on forever, and more. Over 100 venders lined the streets. All kinds of venders. My favorite booth was the Orchids. They were beautiful and only $5.00 each. You can see them in my pictures. About 20 food concessionaires were there to serve lots of food and drinks, both alcoholic and non. And blueberry everything–ice cream, pie, cake, jam, and even blueberry wine.
Next years dated haven’t been announced yet but this year it was in late April. Their facebook is under FLORIDA BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL. It was well worth the drive to visit this festival.
Wear comfortable shoes you will do a lot of walking. If you are thinking of buying new shoes you may like these walking shoes.
