• INTERSTATE 17 – ARIZONA

    While in ARIZONA we spent a lot of time traveling between PHOENIX, SEDONA, JEROME, and the GRAND CANYON.  It seemed where ever we drove INTERSTATE 17 was part of our journey.  The scenery along INTERSTATE 17 was beautiful.  They have viewing exits along the road.  The elevation of INTERSTATE 17 is so high you can see miles and miles through the valleys.  At night this drive is very scary when going up and down and around the sharp scary curves.  I prefer to travel on INTERSTATE 17 when it is daylight outside.  When visiting Arizona be sure you have your camera with you at all times.   • LAKE PLEASANT – ARIZONA

    On our last day in ARIZONA we decided to rent a boat and explore LAKE PLEASANT.  It’s located about 30 miles from Phoenix and is the largest lake in the Phoenix area at over 10,000 acres of water.  The average depth is 70 feet and the deepest point is 260 feet at the dam.  This lake has a lot to offer with boating, skiing, jet skiing, picnic area, camping, and restaurant of the water.  Oh and the lake even has floating restrooms.  I’ve never seen this before.  A swimsuit is a must when you are on the lake.   • CAMELBACK MOUNTAIN – ARIZONA 2017

    [metaslider id=2042] The U.S. News Travel says that CAMELBACK MOUNTAIN is #1 of 12 things to do while in Phoenix.  CAMELBACK MOUNTAIN is one of the best scenic spots for hiking in Phoenix.  The highest point is 2704 feet high which is on the Summit Trail.  This is a very steep trail .  The Echo Canyon Trail and Cholla Trail are a little less steep and are 1.4 miles long while taking 1.5 to 3 hours to complete.  CAMELBACK MOUNTAIN is also popular for rock climbing.
