Manasota Key Beach

Those of you who know me know that I visit Manasota Key Beach every chance I get. I had the opportunity to go there this afternoon. The reason I go there is to find shark teeth.

Today was a bad day for the teeth. Red tide was a bit visible. It smelt bad but I didnt see any dead fish. The waves were high and all of the shark’s teeth were hiding from me. It wasn’t like being on a gulf beach with the waves so high. A couple of surfers were even catching some of the waves. I only stayed there about 30 minutes and decided to leave. The next time will be better. I guess I cant have good luck every time.

I had my shark tooth rake like this one but I couldn’t stay out very long today. My other helpful favorite is a sifter. You can find one at amazon.
